red balloons. red roses. red carnations. red...

this is how i started off work:i got to blow up a bunch of v-day balloons that are currently randomly hanging out within the shop. it's pretty cool looking with the strings hanging down right in front of people's faces...that'll remind them to add a balloon to their order, huh? and yes, that is a "hello kitty" v-day balloon that my boss got because she knows how much i love hk. i think i might have to get me one...

and this is how i ended my work day (er, night): i did a couple of wraps: single rose, 3 roses and 3 carnations. got to get ready for those dudes who just want something simple. wraps like these and boutonnieres are the only flower things i know how to put together.

it was quite busy today. i can't even imagine how crazy it'll be tomorrow and saturday.

    till later.

    what time is it?

ahh. mcdonalds happy meals have hello kitty (and friends) watches! and i had to go get me one. unfortunately, the watch band (which of course is made for a child's wrist) was a tad on the small side for me. however, i had to make it fit and switched out the rubber band for an actual watch band (luckily, my mom had an extra).
and of course now i want them all.
today was also "bring your mom to work" day. at least for me, haha. she came to help with the flowers since there was a mega load of flowers today...tomorrow is day 2 and it'll mostly be roses...i hate cleaning roses, mostly because of the thorns. dang, you men/boys who only think your wives, girlfriend, the women in you life, whatever only like roses for v-day. there are other flowers out there you know.
    till later.

    long days and stargaers...

i've come to the conclusion that stargazer/starfighter lilies are probably my favorite flowers. not only are the beautiful but the smell amazing. (the blue orchids are quiet pretty too, though)

today was the second night in a row that i left work later than usual. as the days get closer to v-day, things just start to pile up and gets busier and busier. hopefully, i make it out of this fake holiday ok, haha.

but getting to take home flowers are always a joy. i usually get to take home a bunch every so often and give them to my mom. but i keep a stem or two in a vase on my night table/self-made stool next to my bed.

    lovely.

    till later.

    11:11 PM (CST)

this boy walked into the flower shop today to order a corsage. no biggie, right? right. that's standard, especially since winter formal is coming up. as i took down his name i noticed that his last name was cullen. omg, you don't even know how hard it was for me to control myself from blurting out anything and everything about twilight. yeah, i didn't want to be that girl. i bet there have been a few teenage girls in his classes that have already pointed out such connections to him already. sadly though, he was no edward, or emmett, or jasper, or even carlisle for that matter.
anyway, tonight, supernatural decided to use one of my favorite words over and over again within the show. "douche bag". i mean "criss angel is a douche bag"...amazing title. i couldn't believe that was the real deal when i first heard it but it was! ah, perfection. and even though, pete wentz thinks that word is outdated and overused, i don't care (pun may or may not be intended). everytime i use it, say it, or hear it, i can't help but smile a little both on the inside as well as the outside. yeah, i'm a dork...deal. haha. oh and the guy that played jeb tonight, he looks so familar and was so hot. it's had to be the eyeliner. i guess it's still a weakness.
and then i watched l.a. ink. which only leaves me longing for a tattoo. one day (hopefully). but on tonight episode nick wheeler from the all-american rejects got a tattoo. cute his dog. everytime i see him i think about how amazing he is when he's playing his guitar. i don't normally think he's like super hot or anything but when he plays his guitar...oh.my.gosh. as laura would say, "he is the sex." i've got to see aar play three time (all in 2006) and each time i stood right in front of him. he's just super bendy and stuff, hot. plus, i caught two of his picks, one of his towels, and met him twice. he's was really chill. i now leave you with a pic spam of some of my concerts photos (because they make me happy and entries are always better with photos):
my favorite photo i took of him.see, bendy.we also often tend to make eye contact when he's on stage...
different show. same smile. same connection. haha.and this was the second time we met. this time with laura. aw, he's super sweet.
many good times. i keep meaning to pick up (or download) the new aar record but just haven't yet. maybe sometime soon. and maybe then i'll finally stop with the non-stop fob's fad...cause that can't be all i listen to, right.
    till later.

    chai, traffic, and music...

    work was short today.
it was so slow and dead.
which isn't so bad for me since i didn't have much to do...
though having nothing to do is not always a good thing.
    too boring.
good thing i only worked till one.

i got a ice chai before heading home.
i guess it is cheaper now (or cheaper in here) since it's only like $2.45 or something for a tall instead of $3 something was (or is in hawaii), though i only had to pay the $3 something if my starbucks boy wasn't working, haha.

the drive took forever to get home since there was yet another accident.
seriously, like i've said, i've seen more car accidents since i've been here then all the years i've lived in hawaii.
i always find it interesting how once you pass the actual accident scene it's smooth sailing from there, like everyone disburses.

i ended up going to walmart with mom and i bought some new frames (which i posted photos of in the pervious post). i was so happy to have found a 11"x17" frame since all my band posters are that size. though i don't think i'll ever be able to buy a frame for everyone of them, at least i know they exist if i really, really need some. there was only one left which was fine since i just wanted one for my fob print.

speaking of which, the new fob cd has permanently made it's home in my car's cd player. it's so good. i keep finding new songs i just love. though, maybe i should listen to something else once in awhile. i kind of want the new all-american rejects cd. i wonder if it's any good. they hold a very special place in my heart because of their concerts i've been to. i've seen them three times, and each time held such good memories. plus nick playing his guitar...woah.

i'm so glad i have tomorrow and monday off. maybe now i can finish cleaning up my room since i've started to more things around.

    till later.

last christmas i gave you my heart, the very next day you gave it away...

i don't know why but i have always liked this song, even when i was younger and was not old enough to really understand it. i guess even back then i was a little emo.

work today was super long. we even had to stay an hour after closing, we were so busy. ugh, i'm glad that's done though.

it doesn't even feel like christmas to me. maybe because i'm not back on maui...where i've spent most of my christmases. it's just not christmas unless it's on maui...at least not yet, maybe after a few more years.

well, i'll leave you with the jimmy eat world version of this song. the original was done by wham! how awesome is that!? wham! so good, haha.

maybe next christmas i'll have a boy to give my heart to.

    till later.

    you can't beat free stuff...

    at work i got:

    1. free frozen yogurt from golden spoon.
    it was peppermint and vanilla.
it was also pink and white and yummy.

    2. free roses.
    they were yellow and orange.
they were also big and very pretty.

all in all it was a pretty good day.

oh and i also now have bangs.

    till later.

    boom...

today was flower day at work. the flowers always comes wrapped up in newspaper so i usually end up checking out some of the articles and ripping some of the things out. today had some good finds.

there were two really cute comic strips:
    karate kid, ha! love it.
this elephant is just too cute. i want it.
    then i found another elephant.
then as i was unwrapping one of the bunches of flowers i saw something that said gossip girl. and wouldn't you know it, i had to stop myself from jumping up and down when i saw it was the ad with chuck on it.
and lastly there was a whole article that featured rpattz and kellan (and nikki).

after work i continued watching season one of heroes and finished the whole thing. now i really want to get season two. gosh, i've forgotten how evil sylar was. so good, so hot. i cannot wait till the shades of gray episode airs but that won't be for awhile. more sylar is always a good thing in my book.

ah, i love this scene. oh and what a nice surprise it was to see that kellan makes an appearance in five years gone. heroes/twilight crossover...nice.

    till later.

i'd never thought that it'd be so simple but...

    work today consisted of:
helping with centerpieces for a party.
finding, counting, and needing 85+ red roses.
cleaning, wiring, and puting water picks on the 85 roses.
    making a trip to ralph's.
getting to go into wine country (love it there, so pretty) to help deliver centerpieces.
getting to tag along on an actual flower delivery (though, i just sat in the car).
sitting in some sweet traffic...and getting paid for it.
getting to see some sweet firefighters carrying boots on the side of the road and collecting donations in them.
and the other regular work task i do...answer phones, take orders, help customers, help the designers, process flowers, etc, etc...

then i came home and at 8 i watched this:
ngl, i actually like drake & josh. i remember when they were on the amanda show and i often catch myself watching episodes of their show whenever it's on. i thought the movie was pretty good, you know for a nickeloden/christmas movie. though, i thought it was funny how some of the stuff in the movie was kind of dirty with all the innuendos in there...which interestingly enough seems to happen in a lot of kid related movies/shows.

    this is my sack...
    of toys.

i've watched some recent interview with them and it's nice to see that they still like working with each other (so they say). i mean they've been working together for so long now. it's cool that they were willing to come back to these characters after being apart for awhile. they really did grow up though. especially josh. i mean after losing all that weight and everything. though after watching him in the wackness (which btw, is an awesome movie) it was hard at first to see him again as dorky josh nichols of drake & josh and not as pot smoking, hip-hop/rap loving, drug dealer luke shapiro.
i need to re-watch this movie.

and yay for crazy steve for coming back for the movie. he is just too awesome!

    till later!

    today was a long day...

maybe it was because i haven't been to work in 5 days.
or maybe it was because it was flower day...
and it seemed as if the flowers were never ending.

to be honest though, i sort of like flower day.
i get to hang in the back and kind of keep to myself.
besides having to process all the flowers, i don't really have to all the other busy work.

    anyway...

i want pho and green tea pocky.
too bad i'm not sure where to get them here.
if i was back in hawaii, i'd be over at ba-le and 7eleven.
random, i know but i've been wanting them for awhile now.
i did find some places online that show restaurants here that have pho.
maybe i'll check one out soon.
now, if i could only figure out how to get a hold of some green tea pocky.

    till later.

    hello panda...

2nd day at work. just more of following everyone around. still a bit overwhelmed most of the day. loads to remember.
and for some reason i had the song "part of your world" from the little mermaid stuck in my head as i was cleaning up. random.
when i got home, my mom and i went to the asian supermarket in town and i got a box of strawberry hello pandas...yum. haven't had them in awhile. i almost got some strawberry yan-yans as well but maybe next time.
i guess that's it. not really much to talk about.
day off tomorrow. maybe i'll sleep in.

    till later.

    flowers, flowers, & more flowers...

today was my first day at the flower shop. it was also the day that they buy the flowers from the market. and so today was all about processing them. it was a lot of flowers. more names then i can even remember. but hopefully with time i get the hang of it. i had to shadow the girl who's job i'm taking over. she was cool. it's just weird having to follow her around, trying to remember everything. i just hope i can pick up everything quickly when she does leave.
anyway, after work i stopped by the target in the area. the flower shop where i work is actually in a different city then the one i live in. i have to take the highway to get to work. it's kind of like living in kahului and working in kihei. well back to target. i dropped in to check it out and i found this awesome buddha statue for only $2.50. i needed to have. especially since i lost my baby buddha statue i got at goodwill somehow during my move and have missed it ever since. they actually have another buddha statue that i might pick up next time around.
    my little religious area.
my our lady of guadalupe candle, love it. my new buddha statue. and a print from my friend brad, which is printed on a page from the bible - the book of genesis - in a frame i spray painted.
wow, looks like i should dust.
speaking of my religious things, here's a scan of my religious rings i got from the coin machine. it was hard to get a good photo of them and the scan's not that much better but sara (probably my only reader) wanted to see them. haha, i put them on the drumstick i got from james.
oh and about that necklace, i got that at target today too. queen of hearts, i couldn't leave it behind.
    and it's reversible too.

for a post titled: flowers, flowers, & more flowers this post is seriously lacking some flowers. but after all the flowers i've been around today and probably will be around seeing as i do work in a flower shop now, the title pretty much sums up what will be part of my life for quite some time.

    till later.
