hate me baby, maybe i'm a piece of art...

when i got home today i had a nice brown shipping tube leaning next to my bed. i already knew what was inside and was so excited to open it. right when i was about to rip right into it i saw this little note: "open gently." i don't know why but i thought that was so cute. so i "gently" opened the top and unrolled the brown paper around it:
my jay ryan print came in today! it's even prettier in person. i love.love.love it. looking at it i'm thinking it's like a 4 drop print, 3 plus key. i love the color bends in it. i always loved doing color blends when i did litho, it always came out so cool looking. but dang, registration was always so hard for me. for the most part, everything usually came out looking fine. anyway, now all i need is a frame.

edit: i bought a frame and the print now has it's very own spot on my wall:
ah, looks so good hung up and framed. though now it just makes me want to get more. i love the way posters look framed. i wish i could frame all my art stuff. too bad that cost money. then again that doesn't stop me and i actually have a few up and framed. if i ever get my room clean enough, my "art wall" will get photographed.
for now here's one corner of room. so there's my new jay ryan print, above that is my fall out boy/folie a deux print (which is in a new frame as well, i finally found one that's 11"x17"), the huge poster/frame is twilight, which i've already posted about, and the one under it is one of my lithographs i did based on over it's song, where the sky begins, and happens to be the first time i did a color blend. i just ended up framing it today, using the old frame i had for my fob/fad poster which was too big for that print. oh and you can also see a bit of my 4'x4' painting peeking out on the side. as you can see i really don't have much room for more...but you never know.
    till later.
