all these things that i've done...

i went and watched the day the earth stood still today. funny thing, my mom's a keanu reeves fan, no lie. though she's doesn't like the matrix movies (which i think is like he most notable role). really i don't even know if she has actually watched any of them. she's more of a fan of his romactic type movies like a walk in the clouds and sweet november. we had also owned two copies of speed and hardball. anyway, i thought the movie was pretty good. i mean it kept me entertained so it fulfilled it's purpose.
i must say though, what i really was excited to see were the trailers, well one trailer specifically. so i sat there waiting. the first trailer they showed was race to witch mountain. i didn't even know they were making another witch mountain movie. i remembered watching the escape to witch mountain movies when i was younger, the 70's one and the remake with erik von detten. i use to love the one with erik von detten. i even remember the poem xander writes to anna. "roses are red. birds can fly. i like you. i don't know why." or something to that nature. at least i think that's from that movie. the rock is in this new movie. it looks like it could be a good family type movie.
the next trailer they showed was terminator salvation with senor bale, looking as good as always. two trailers in and i was still waiting. there were, i think, 2 more trailers. one was a teaser trailer for 2012 (man, it's still a scary thought). then finally, the last trailer...
x-men origins: wolverine. whenever they play the trailer for the day the earth...on tv they always mention how you'll be able to catch the wolverine trailer so that's what i was waiting to see. it's not because i'm a huge wolverine fan, though i do like his character, i just really wanted to see gambit and deadpool. deadpool because i love ryan reynolds and though his part in the trailer was short and quick, it was still exciting to see. and sure it'd be cool to see reynolds in full deadpool attire, it's just a shame his face has to be covered by a mask. then again deadpool is suppose to be disfigured under there. hmm, i wonder how long he'll stay unmasked in the actually movie. and then there's GAMBIT!!! my favorite x-men.

i've said it before, but i was mega bummed when he wasn't part of any of the x-men movies. i remember being a kid and watching the x-men cartoon and just falling in love (so to speak) with gambit (and rouge). i think it was his shaggy hair, or his red eyes, or his trench coat, or his staff, or the way he threw his aces...no, it had to be the cajun accent. yup, definitely the accent. he better have that accent in the moive. i don't really know much about taylor kitsch, never watched friday night lights, so i don't know what kind of actor he is. let's just hope he as bad ass as gambit is. he did look pretty cool in the trailer though with the cards and his staff. i wonder what gambit's actual role in the movie will be, how he fits into all of this. i don't think he has a major role in it but at least he'll be in a movie finally.

    GAMBIT!!!

ok, enough of me fangirling over gambit and a movie that doesn't even come out until may. at the moment i'm watching: i guess i didn't have to wait as long as i thought for season 4 to go on sale. in fact, all the seasons of one tree hill is on sale at target. so i now have all the seasons that are out on dvd. i didn't watch like half of 4 when it was on tv. i think it's when the wb switched over to the cw and hawaii didn't have it yet. man, they spend a lot of time in the hospital during this season. there's so much i didn't know that happened, it's like watching brand new episodes.
i was going to buy season one of gossip girl but they didn't have any left. which wasn't a surprise since they only had two left when i first saw them. i also really wanted season two of heroes but i've been spending way too much money on things i really shouldn't buy so i didn't get it. besides, originally it's priced at like $30 and right now it's on sale for like $23, so really it's not that big of a sale. i guess i'll just wait a little longer. i always forget how that season was cut short because of the writer's strike. i still want it though, haha.

    till later.
